The heart of the Picts echoes pride and purpose, and 2019 epitomised these core values. We terrified the sports fields with our horror theme for athletics day, and bravely galloped into the swimming gala, Picts wisps guiding our way, Disney style. We took it back to the old town road at the house festival, and energetically synchronised some country sass while singing our hearts out. Finally, we wheeled first across the finish line in our wheelbarrow race at roots day.

2019 was the year of adventure! But the thing about adventures, is they are not meant to be experienced in isolation. Adventures like these require teamwork, innovation, curiosity, friendship, bravery, discovery and wonder. And the Picts encapsulated that last year. It involved leaning on the Picts teachers to help get the job done and tapping into the ingenuity of our Picts learners for the next dance move or prop idea. We relied on our RCLs and backstage team, and proudly enjoyed the comradery of our athletes on the field. We honour the relentless hard work and countless hours the Picts learners pour into their academics, and we admire their fiery spirit. The tenacity and spirit of Picts encapsulates our values: pride and purpose, and we look forward to an exciting and unforgettable 2020.
